GOD IS ALL THERE IS...

 



  
   One night, just a week ago, I was carrying my son on a walk in the warm summer air to get him to fall asleep.  This is our nightly ritual while at the same time my wife reads books to our five year old to get her to bed.  So as my boy’s fatigued body begins to sink into my chest with his head resting on my shoulder my mind starts to widen spontaneously.  I know and love this experience, as I am confident that All-ness is about to take place.  It is an event of Peace and profundity and it has happened to me many times.

   Immediately the voice says, “All thoughts that arise are GOD’s.  All actions are mine.”  It is strange but there always seems to be an announcement then it feels as if GOD – BEING begins to talk directly to me.  Accompanying these thoughts is a subtle calm – Peace.  The sad part is quite often my mind, my ego, kicks in to organize and categorize these revelations.  Then GOD reclaims the space and says, “This too is me.”  Now that’s kinda new for me.  GOD has said, “I am all things,” to me before but not as I was worrying about my seemingly separate ego and its interruptions.  This sends the message a little deeper this time.  My ego is also GOD! ? !  Whoa!

   It is beginning to settle into me more and more.  GOD IS ALL THERE IS.  No matter what you see or experience, it is still GOD because GOD is all there is.  This may sound absurd when you consider all the suffering in the world.  It is difficult to reconcile.  Yet as I do my best to practice this central thought that’s been given to me over and over again in various manners, the suffering and all things apparently separate of GOD begin to subtly change.  I still weep at human suffering but when I say to myself that, too, is GOD, as I’ve been instructed to, both what I see and how I feel begin to have a different context, a stillness, a knowing.  It is inexplicable and ineffable but that pain seems purposeful.  It is like the pain is the impetus to see GOD in everything.  I’m starting to KNOW that seeing GOD in everything is the only way, for me, to actually BE – EXIST.  Not recognizing GOD in everything is the “real illusion” - an old story that produces immense pain with no apparent antidote.  I believe as I’ve been told by the voice that pain is an ALARM to AWAKEN to ME, ALL THERE IS.

   GOD in all things is of course an ancient idea yet one that the masses simply couldn’t grasp until now.  I see this idea manifesting everywhere.  It’s in ancients scriptures, many different philosophers espouse it from Parmenides to Spinoza to William James to Bertrand Russell to Walter Russell and more, and in their own particular way yet they still say the same thing.  It’s in the words of great poets, in blogs, in threads all over Zaadz, and in the experiences just plain common folk.  It is an idea, a thought of GOD, which is coming to fruition.  This seed, that GOD is Everything, has been gathering potential for millennia and is ready to break ground and cause the single greatest occurrence in human consciousness.  Bold statement I know. 

  And, yes, I know this world is an illusion as taught by many religion founders, saints and sages, but it is GOD’s illusion - put into play, perhaps, to prepare the ground for the recognition of GOD in all things, a recognition that is taking place NOW on a scale larger than we may perceive because we argue over semantics, paths, data, and perceptions.  And, yes, that is also GOD.

   I cannot explain it but in essence I know that this illusion becomes reality when a tipping point is reached and a critical mass of humans, realize, recognize, reconcile, acknowledge that GOD is all things, every thing, in every moment all the time.  I don’t need scientific proof of this as I did previously.  My life is proving it almost daily in the weight of a sleeping child on my breast, in the blogs of complete strangers, in the serendipitous moments that are my experience.

  I have asked for enlightenment and I’ve intended it for a while.  Am I enlightened?  Nope.  But I will say - I am more full of Light now than I was last week and I expect more so next week.  As for right NOW, well, NOW is all there is and that is GOD and I am that I am and so are you.

  A guick aside, this is for me what I call non-dualism and integral theory, and this view of GOD in All Things, to me, leads to NOTHING.  Namaste.
